Upload a script to guide your automated video edit

The challenge

Many teams already have a written script before they start editing — it defines what should be said and, importantly, the order in which scenes and clips should appear. Today there's no way to hand that script to Mozaik's automated editing: the AI agent decides the cut and clip order on its own, so it can't reliably follow the planned structure out of the box. The only workaround is renaming source files (for example "Part 1–6") to hint at a sequence, which is fiddly and easily breaks.

Our approach

Let users upload their existing script alongside their footage and have Mozaik's automated editing use it as the source of truth for the cut and the clip order. The AI agent would align the sequence and pacing of the edit to the uploaded script instead of deciding the structure on its own.

Expected impact

  • Finished videos follow the structure teams planned, with far less manual re-ordering afterwards.
  • No more file-renaming workarounds to force a clip sequence.
  • More predictable, on-brief results from the automated edit for teams who work script-first.
