Upload existing footage straight from your phone

The challenge

When you can't upload from your computer — a flaky connection, a locked-down machine, or you're simply away from your desk — your phone is often the quickest way to get footage into Mozaik. Today you can technically upload files through the mobile browser via the recordings area, and it does work end to end (it even kicks off the AI editing agent). But that screen was built for recording on your phone, not for picking existing files out of your gallery, so on a small screen it feels fiddly and awkward.

Our approach

Let's give mobile its own proper upload flow — a clear, touch-friendly way to pick existing videos and files from your phone and send them straight into a project, instead of borrowing the recording screen. Uploads should show progress, resume cleanly on shaky mobile connections, and hand off to the AI editing agent exactly as they do on desktop.

Expected impact

  • Get footage in from your phone whenever your computer isn't an option
  • A touch-first flow made for existing files, not a repurposed recording screen
  • Reliable uploads on mobile networks with clear progress
  • The same AI editing hand-off you already get on desktop
